I’ve been the owner of a flat since 2007 and seen a sad decline in the developments maintenance and care over the years while management fees have continued to increase significantly. Since the development took over the right to manage it has recently employed Rory Mack as the management company. For the first time we have a company and property manager who is proactive in planning improvements in key areas eg security and getting the living environment back to where it should be. We deal with all aspects of management, including collection and reconciliation of the service charge, and to carry out works in keeping with the development and its historic features with modern additions, such as CCTV.

I’m qualified in Business and Information Technology and have previous experience in property. However, my role here at Rory Mack covers a wide range of client accounting tasks, including creating and sending out all demand invoices and charges to the tenants and leaseholders, reconciling the bank payment received and allocating it to the landlord or service charge accounts. Processing purchase invoices and making relevant payments to suppliers. Producing monthly and quarterly statements to landlords and VAT reports. Liaising and reporting with the Property Managers to ensure our clients receive a first-class service.

I have family and friends in both Scotland and Kent, and so spend a lot of my time travelling either north or south to visit.
